Case Study: Kitt Wakeley Orchestral Rock Radio & Streaming Campaign

#3 on the NACC Heavy Adds chart. The only independent record in the top five.
We started working with Kitt Wakeley for the release of “Symphony of Sinners & Saints”, his orchestral rock album recorded at Abbey Road with Joe Satriani and a full orchestra. The record was finished and the challenge was placement: a self-released album competing against projects backed by label muscle.

The Strategy:

Introduce rock fans to a different kind of heavy.

At radio, we pitched NACC and specialty stations. That meant pitching programmers who’d never been sent an orchestral album and making the case for why it belonged in their rotation.

On Spotify, we pitched five tracks to curators. Placements appeared across hard rock, metal, indie, and instrumental playlists. On YouTube, we built a campaign across “Forgive Me,” “Sinners and Saints,” and “Conflicted” to drive views, likes, comments, and subscribers to his channel.

#3 on the NACC Top 5 Heavy Adds chart, the only self-released record in the top five, with rotation across more than sixty college and specialty stations.

Five tracks were placed on playlists carrying a combined 371,383 followers, ultimately accumulating over a million streams. We achieved over 450,000 engagements across three music videos, resulting in a 56% increase in overall channel subscribers.

What Happened Next:

Kitt won a Grammy. Then he won another one.

In February 2023 he won Best Classical Compendium for “An Adoption Story,” an album drawn from his childhood in the foster care system, recorded at Abbey Road with the London Symphony Orchestra. The second came in 2025 for producing Matt B’s “Alkebulan II,” and he’s been nominated three more times since.

He’s a seven-time number one Billboard artist with more than twenty top ten placements. He sold out Carnegie Hall performing the same orchestral rock we were pitching to radio.

We helped get his music heard. He took it the rest of the way.
